Who is Calico •
Calico (Jacob Zimmer) has been DJing at clubs, concerts, and parties in Seattle and up and down the West Coast since 2013. He’s best known for bringing an authentic joy to the decks while DJing; dancing and smiling while effortlessly blending across genres for packed dance floors. His aim is always to share music and keep bodies moving.
Calico has produced several parties that have become staples of Seattle nightlife, such as Bad Idea, Don’t Think!, and Dirty Pop, creating spaces where DJs and audiences alike can meet on the dance floor to share their love of everything from Club music to Pop music.
In 2022, Calico began sharing his output of remixes and original production. Inspired by DJs and dance floors alike, his music melds elements of his favorite high energy dance music from around the globe such as Jersey and Baltimore Club, Miami Bass, Baile Funk, Ballroom, and Rap music. The result is a high energy, dynamic, and hard-hitting sound with a throughline of cheekiness that sounds authentically Calico.
Recent highlights have included his club-meets-rap recession anthem, “Can I Get Paid? (feat. KHRIS P & Taylar Elizza Beth)” (2025) and dark room, high intensity club banger “Club Party Function” (2024). He ‘s also released several remixes of popular artists ranging from Enya to Nirvana, and has several releases on Up. Records and 320 RIP.
Calico has shared the stage with such notable artists as: A$AP Cozy Boys, Austin Millz, Ballads, Chong the Nomad, Chromeo, Dirt Nasty, DJDS, Dpat, Ekali, Four Color Zack, Full Crate, Hucci, Keys n Krates, Mickey Avalon, MikeQ, Nadus, Nina Las Vegas, Promnite, Seiho, Tinashe, YehMe2, and Zaytoven.
