Music was the #1 priority at our wedding and Calico totally nailed it! We discussed the vibe we were looking for (soulful, groovy, thick basslines and big horn sections) and sent him an inspiration playlist. He kept the dance floor full all night effortlessly spinning funk and disco classics mixed with modern-day favorites, and highlighted our must-play requests. Guests raved about the impromptu ABBA set and the Chaka Khan conga line!

We had an outdoor wedding across three locations of a big park. We needed lots of different equipment, weird music timings, the weather was unpredictable- needless to say, my now husband and I were stressed about the logistics. Calico made all that stress go away. He was collaborative, calm, excited, deeply knowledgeable - made everything seamless and simple so my husband and I could just enjoy the day. One of our favorite moments from the night - Libby (bride) was in the bathroom for the start of her favorite song, Return of the Mack, Libby’s friends found her and Calico restarted the song with her grand re-entrance to the dance floor.

What can I say, Calico was fantastic! Very professional, he worked closely with us to incorporate styles of music and songs that we specifically requested. He made himself available and worked with our wedding planner which made the day of setup and teardown smooth. His song selection and DJ'ing skills made for one hell of a reception for all of our guests, young and old. Calico’s set for our wedding was the perfect blend of our special requests, country music and wedding favorites. When we think back to the vendors we worked with for our wedding, Calico is the first person we would immediately recommend. Not only is he an absolute master of his craft - incorporating any personal requests and vibes flawlessly, entertaining as an emcee, and keeping the party going ALL NIGHT (seriously...no one left the dance floor, including my older aunties and uncles) - but he is also professional, meticulous, and organized during the planning and execution on the day. He even personally called our venue owners to discuss set-up and ask about any specific rules they had about DJing. My husband and I had the great pleasure of working with DJ Calico for our wedding in October of 2023. Calico MADE our wedding. There has never been a dance floor so packed - we still hear from people all the time about how fun the dance floor was, no one was sitting in their seats from the time the first dances ended until shuttles arrived to take people away at the end of the night. He understood our vision and had so much fun with it. He also worked with a tricky venue, where our ceremony, welcome drinks, and dinner and dancing were at three different outdoor locations on the property, and he somehow made it all work!
